How to Stop Acne: Dos and Don’ts

Everybody struggles with acne – from celebrities to teenagers. Most people experience it during adolescence, while other people struggle with it through their entire life. There is a lot of misinformation about how to deal with acne, how to stop it, and which acne scar removal treatments is best. Since we are painfully familiar with acne, we offer these do’s and don’ts to help you stop your acne:

Do treat your skin gently. One of the underlying causes of acne is irritation. When acne prone skin gets irritated, it reacts by creating acne. The most common way that people irritate their skin is with treatments. Harsh exfoliants, powerful chemicals, and drying ingredients like alcohol can cause more problems than they solve.

Do use a combination of holistic and pharmaceutical therapies. Pharmaceutical therapies such as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and other topicals do an unbelievable job at stopping acne in its tracks. Unfortunately, they do a very poor job of caring for the health of your skin. The Zenmed Derma Cleanse system is an example that perfectly balances pharmaceutical and holistic treatments.

Don’t touch your face. Your fingers are dirty and irritating to your skin. Do yourself a favor and keep your hands off your face. This is doubly true if you have an active breakout. Picking or popping your pimples will only lead to more pimples.

Don’t expect acne scars to fade quickly. Acne scars can hang around for years, even after the condition has gone away. You need something to help your skin heal. Exfoliation and peels are helpful because they stimulate skin cell regeneration. The Zenmed Derma Cleanse system includes an acne scar removal treatment with alpha-hydroxy/beta- hydroxy compound that will make those acne scars go way faster than you ever imagined.

The key point is to be gentle with your skin. One of the main reasons people experience acne is because they have sensitive skin. By not claiming it, you can avoid breakouts and with gentle acne scar removal treatment you can make acne a distant memory!
